Magazin: Material aid for migrants

Magazin is open only for clients, who have booked a visit and have confirmation of booking.

PLEASE NOTE: We would like to remind you that the in-kind assistance we provide at the Ocalenie Foundation is free of charge.
We would like to alert you to any attempts by dishonest intermediaries to defraud you, e.g. when signing up for the Magazin.
Such actions are illegal and punishable by imprisonment from 3 months to 5 years [“Computer Fraud” Art.287 §1 KK].
Magazin works as a store – but instead of money you shop with points.
Each family or individual client gets a certain amount of points to spend during the visit. It is possible to visit Magazin maximum once per 2 months. However, the visit is NOT GUARANTEED due to the high number of people interested.
Rules for using the Magazin
To get support from Magazin, you need to book a visit through calendar (see “booking a visit in Magazin”). For a visit you need to take your document with you. For a first visit you need to take additionally also documents of members of your family.
Magazin of the Ocalenie Foundation is located in a new location at 6/14b Krucza Street, 00-537 Warsaw – the Magazin room is adjacent to the main building of the Foundation to the right of the stairs, in the corner.
- You can come to Magazin maximum once per 2 months.
- Assigned points can be used during one visit in Magazin.

It means that a client can sign up for an appointment and come to Magazin:
- one time in the period January-February
- one time in the period March-April
- one time in the period May-June
- one time in the period July-August
- one time in the period September-October
- one time in the period November-December

For the first visit in Magazin you need to take your document with you and also documents of members of your family. Data of every client is entered into the database of Ocalenie Foundation and clients have to sign an agreement to data processing (RODO).

You can visit Magazin 1 time per 2 months.

Before you enter Magazin you need to show confirmation of your booking (you can show it on your phone) and your document.

You can book a visit only for your family, it is not possible to book visit for other family.

Without confirmation of booking your visit – you cannot enter Magazin.

Booking visits opens usually on Monday 10.00 AM
At the moment we have in Magazin mainly cleaning product, hygiene products, pampers. Also there are clothes (mostly secondhand), shoes, etc. The assortment at Magazin may vary and depends on the Foundation’s financial situation.
- Magazin is a support service organized and managed by Ocalenie Foundation where foreigners of any nationality can go to receive free in-kind assistance. There is no charge for using Magazin.

- To become a client of Magazin, you must first book a visit in advance using the calendar tool available at https:old.ocalenie.org.pl/magazin-material-aid.
- On your first visit, you will need proof of identification for yourself and all members of your family. Your personal data will be entered into the database of Ocalenie Foundation, where it will be safely and confidentially stored for future visits. According to GDPR requirements, all clients are required to sign a document agreeing to the processing of your personal data. Our privacy policy is available on the website of Ocalenie Foundation.
- Magazin is open for clients only on fixed days and opening hours.
- When coming to Magazin, please be sure always to bring proof of identification.
- You can book a visit only for yourself and your family. It is not possible to book a visit for another family.
- Everyone wishing to enter the store is required to show an ID along with an email confirming the booking.
- No money changes hands at Magazin. Items chosen from Magazin are “purchased” with points.
- Each family is given points to use per one visit, with a maximum of one visit per every two months. The number of points assigned depends on the number of family members in the same household:
- 1 – 120
- 2 – 150
- 3 – 180
- 4 – 200
- 5 – 225
- 6 – 250
- 7 – 275
- 8 and above – 300
- A single-parent family with children:
- 2 – 180
- 3 – 200
- 4 – 225
- 5 – 250
- 6 – 275
- 7 and above – 300
- Points are assigned for family sharing the same household.
- Clients who have no family may use Magazin as an individual.
- There is a “price list” specifying the number of points for each item available in Magazin.
- With points, you can “purchase” clothes, shoes, books, kitchen utensils, children’s products, toys, bedclothes, pillows, blankets, etc. All such items are secondhand, in good condition. You can also exchange your points for toiletries, diapers, sanitary napkins, laundry detergent, and household cleaning products (if available).
- The Ocalenie Foundation reserves the right to deny service to persons who violate the rules for use of Magazin’s resources or who pose a threat to persons or property by appearing under the influence of alcohol, engaging in theft, threatening and aggressive behavior, etc.
- Magazin does not accept returns. Please choose carefully.
A maximum of 12 visits can be made to the Magazin. Once 12 visits have been made, no more Magazin support can be used.
The 12-visit rule does NOT apply to:
- persons in the procedure for applying for international protection
- persons with disabilities
- persons aged 75 and over (year of birth 1949)
